A former secondary-school teacher with many years experience in the classroom, Knots & Xs Crafty Kits grew from Cat's desire to share the mindful activities of macramé and cross-stitch, but also a frustration with the lack of high-quality instructions for beginners. So she wrote and designed her own.
The process of creating something with your own hands is a therapeutic exercise like none other; the repetitive motions are scientifically proven to calm the mind and stimulate the release of endorphins - our happy hormone! Knots & Xs Crafty Kits' mission is to improve your mindsets through craft with DIY Kits and workshops, and she is here to help you - every step of the way. Suitable for beginners and beyond, these DIY Kits enable you to make your own pieces of happiness by learning a new skill, creating something beautiful and connecting with yourself with these mindful 'workshops in a box'.
Knots & Xs Crafty Kits believes strongly in sustainability, giving back, and being an independent female-led brand. All materials including packaging are locally manufactured and either recycled or recyclable. In-person workshops are run in partnership with local Liverpool charity, Sunflowers, and all kits, instructions and tutorials are designed, written, recorded and assembled by hand, all by her.
